Welcome to SUMVAAD, a community network built for Indian micro and small businesses to collaborate, share knowledge, and grow. To maintain a safe, professional, and legally compliant environment, all users must adhere to these guidelines. By using SUMVAAD, you acknowledge and accept these rules. Any violation will result in appropriate action, including content removal, suspension, or legal reporting if required.

1. Respect & Professionalism

  • Treat all members with respect.

  • Discrimination, hate speech, bullying, trolling, harassment, or intimidation based on religion, caste, gender, ethnicity, or background is strictly prohibited.

  • Personal attacks, threats, defamation, or inciting violence will result in immediate removal and may be reported to authorities.

2. Prohibited Content

  • No religious or political discussions – this is a business-focused platform.

  • No explicit, violent, or illegal content – including pornography, fraud, scams, hacking, or unethical business practices.

  • No misinformation – content that causes harm, spreads false narratives, or damages reputations is not allowed.

  • No unauthorized data sharing – violating privacy laws or the Digital Data Protection Act (DPDPA, 2023) will lead to removal and possible legal action.

3. Business-Focused & Ethical Engagement

  • Keep discussions relevant to micro and small businesses.

  • Self-promotion is allowed only in designated areas. Misleading claims or deceptive promotions will result in removal.

  • No unsolicited sales pitches, spam, or deceptive marketing tactics.

4. Intellectual Property & Copyright Compliance

  • Users must only post content they own or have the legal right to share.

  • Copyright violations or IP disputes are solely the responsibility of the user who posted the content.

  • SUMVAAD will comply with takedown requests if provided with proper legal documentation.

5. Reporting & Moderation

  • Users should report any content violations immediately.

  • Strict actions (content removal, suspension, or legal reporting) will be taken for violations.

  • SUMVAAD moderators hold the final authority in enforcing platform policies. Users must comply and engage respectfully with moderators.

  • You can report a user or content here.

6. Privacy & Data Protection

  • Respect others' privacy. Do not share personal, business-sensitive, or confidential information without consent.

  • SUMVAAD does not sell, misuse, or unlawfully process user data but will comply with legal requests from authorities if required.

7. User Accountability & Legal Compliance

  • Users are solely responsible for the content they post, share, or distribute on SUMVAAD.

  • SUMVAAD is a neutral platform and does not encourage any type of bias on engagement.

  • Users must comply with all Indian laws, including but not limited to:

    • Information Technology (IT) Act, 2000 (including IT Rules, 2021)

    • Indian Penal Code (IPC)

    • Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), 2023

    • Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) & Copyright Laws

  • SUMVAAD will cooperate with legal authorities if required.

8. Amendments & Compliance Updates

  • These guidelines may be updated to comply with legal and regulatory changes.

  • Users must review and accept any updates to continue using SUMVAAD.
