Lets understand your Order Profitability with an example.
Let's assume you have to ship an order of S&E's Cricket Bat to Bengaluru from Delhi via Amazon for ₹ 1250 and has a weight of 1.250 KG and dimensions of 60 X 5 X 3 (in cm).
Applicable Fees as per Amazon for shipping a cricket bat from New Delhi to Bengaluru (National Order) priced at ₹ 1250 and weighing 1.250 KG, are:
Referral Fee: 8.5% (for sporting goods item price > INR 1000)
Closing Fee: ₹ 61
Weight Handling Fee: ₹ 144 (approximately as per Amazon Easy Ship Fee)
[Note: Cricket Bat falls under GST slab of 12%]
Profit = Item Selling Price - Item Cost Price (inc. Item GST) - Total Selling Fees (inc. 18%) - Tax Liability (Tax collected - Tax Paid) - Packaging Fee (if applicable)
Profit = {1250 - (400 + 400 * 12%) - [((1250 * 8.5%) + 61 + 144) * 18%] - (134 - 56 - 48) - (50)}
Profit = {1250 - (400 +48) - [(106.25 + 61 + 144) * 18%] - (30) - (50)}
Profit = 1250 - 448 - 367 - 30 - 50
Profit = 1250 - 895
Profit = 355
